Navnaam

Disclaimer

Please read this before you use a syllable or a number in a naming ceremony.

Navnaam explains naming customs that many Indian families already use: the Moon's nakshatra, the four padas and their syllables, rashi, and Chaldean or Pythagorean numerology. The wording on the site is "in this tradition, people associate…", not "this will happen".

A calculated nakshatra can differ from a pandit's chart if the birth time, the place, or the ayanamsa differs. Near the edge of a nakshatra we show both sides on purpose. If the time of birth is uncertain, treat the result as a range and confirm it with the person conducting the ceremony.

Numerology depends on the English spelling. A different spelling produces a different total. Friendly, neutral and challenging notes are a placeholder table until the founder replaces them. They are not universal, and traditions disagree.

Nothing here is a promise about health, marriage, wealth, career or a child's future. It is not a substitute for a priest, a doctor or a lawyer. You choose the name.

The same limit applies to a paid report. Astrology and numerology are shared there as tradition and guidance, as families have used them for generations. They are not a prediction or a guarantee. Manglik is not scored. A match score is not a marriage date.
