Hindu twin names
Pairs drawn from names used in Hindu families, including a few story pairs when both names are published.
Hindu twin names here are pairs from the directory whose names families already use in that tradition, plus a short set of story pairs when both people are published. Krishna with Balram is one. Sita with Lakshmi is another, when both pages exist. The list is a reading aid. It is not a rule about which community may use a name, and a name from another tradition is not hidden from the rest of the site.
Story pairs are familiar, which is why they are listed. Familiarity does not choose the name for you. Read the meaning on each page. Some names point to a deity, some to a quality, some to a place. Those are different reasons, and a family may want only one of them. The Devanagari on the name page is the spelling to check with the person who will write the name at the ceremony.
Rhyming pairs on this page are still real directory names. They are not spellings built to echo each other. If you want the Moon checked, the twins report takes both birth times. Two children can share a nakshatra or they can differ. This page will not guess. It will only show names you can open, compare and say aloud with the surname.
